About Us:
Blender Events is a premium meeting and event venue located on Madison Avenue in Midtown
Manhattan. We offer full-service planning and production in a thoughtfully designed space catering to fortune
500, technology firms and NGOs. Our full floor 15,000 sqft space features meeting rooms, boardrooms,
event suite and auditorium with capacity to host 300+ guests.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced GM / Director to oversee our meeting and events business. This role requires a highly organized, sales-driven individual who can manage sales and production team, plus generate business through industry networking. The ideal candidate will have experience in venue operations, event planning, client negotiations, catering management, and budget handling to deliver seamless experiences for events ranging from 20 to 300 guests.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
● Drive event and meeting room bookings by managing new busness pipeline via HubSpot CRM and
actively prospecting enterprise clients.
● Conduct tours of the space for prospective clients, showcasing the venue’s features and
capabilities.
● Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and experiential
agencies to drive recurring business.
● Network within the corporate event and business community to increase brand awareness and
attract new clients.
● Negotiate contracts, pricing, and budgets to maximize revenue while ensuring client satisfaction.

Event Planning & Execution
● Oversee the planning and execution of corporate events, including panel discussions,
offsites, workshops, product launches, and presentation receptions.
● Work closely with clients to curate customized event experiences, including catering, styling,
AV and logistics.
● Coordinate with preferred vendors for catering, rentals, and staffing agencies, ensuring
high-quality execution.
● Manage event timelines, staffing, and setup to ensure seamless operations.

Operations & Venue Management:
● Maintain a calendar of events and bookings, ensuring no scheduling conflicts.
● Monitor and optimize event space utilization, reporting on key performance metrics.
● Ensure compliance with venue policies, permits, and regulations.
● Provide a white-glove service experience for existing VIP clients and corporate partners.

Qualifications & Experience:
● +5 years of experience in catering and event sales, venue management, and/or hospitality.
● Proven track record in sales and business development, with experience handling inbound
leads and closing deals.
● Proficiency in CRM platforms (HubSpot, Tripleseat, Cvent, Reposite) to track leads and
manage pipelines.
● Strong negotiation skills for client budgets, vendor contracts, and service pricing.
● Experience coordinating catering, custom menus, and AV services.
● Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask.
● Excellent communication and client service skills, capable of engaging with high-profile
corporate and VIP clients.
● Existing network within the NYC events, hospitality, or corporate community is a plus.
