Job Description

As an AmeriCorps Community Resource Navigator, you will serve as a trusted link between students/families and critical services. You will serve hands on with students, families, school staff and community partners to reduce barriers and support attendance initiatives.
Position starts September/October 2026 - term last approximately 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop student goals to improve both social skills and student attendance.
• Facilitate and provide mentorship utilizing an evidence-based curriculums
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding school attendance and progress reports
• Connect families to resources through school-based pantries, clothing closets, and donation coordination.
• Plan and deliver educational/engagement events for parents
• Document and track progress
• Engage with community-based organizations to facilitate trainings and bridge gaps in access to services
• Participate in training and professional development to improve quality services for youth

Requirements
Willing to serve full time for a modest living allowance of $24k and education award.
