1. Guest Interaction & Service

• Greet guests promptly and warmly when they arrive.
• Present menus and explain specials, promotions, or featured items.
• Answer questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary options.
• Make recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Take food and beverage orders carefully and accurately.
• Input orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system.
• Customize orders to accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests.
• Double-check orders before sending them to the kitchen.
• Deliver food and drinks to the correct table in a timely manner.
• Ensure presentation meets restaurant standards.
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
• Refill drinks and provide additional items (napkins, condiments, etc.).
• Maintain a friendly, attentive, and professional attitude.
• Handle complaints calmly and resolve issues quickly.
• Anticipate guest needs (e.g., offering refills before being asked).
• Create a welcoming and enjoyable dining atmosphere.
• Set up tables before guests arrive (silverware, glasses, napkins).
• Clear tables after guests leave and reset them quickly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including floors and service stations.
• Follow sanitation and food safety guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are correct and timely.
• Coordinate with hosts/hostesses for seating and table management.
• Assist coworkers during busy periods.
• Relay customer feedback to management when needed.
• Memorize the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Suggest add-ons (appetizers, desserts, drinks) to increase sales.
• Promote specials and high-margin items.
• Preparing simple drinks or desserts.
• Handling reservations or takeout orders.
• Opening/closing duties (restocking supplies, counting cash).
• Following alcohol service laws (checking IDs).
• Strong communication and people skills
