Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Credential Verification: Conduct thorough verification of healthcare providers' credentials, including education, training, licensure, and certifications.
Documentation Management: Maintain up-to-date documentation and records in the credentialing database, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Application Processing: Review and process provider applications, ensuring all required documents are submitted and accurate.
Background Checks: Perform background checks and license verifications to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Communication: Communicate with providers to address discrepancies or missing information and provide guidance on credentialing processes.
Renewal Management: Monitor expiring licenses and credentials, proactively initiating the renewal process to avoid disruptions in services.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and requirements, ensuring the College of Nursing always remains compliant.
Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing for and participating in audits and regulatory reviews.
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
Equivalent Education/Experience
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Proficiency in credentialing software
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in credentialing or a related administrative role, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting.
Working Conditions:
Environment: Office setting with occasional travel for events and meetings.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks involving sitting, standing, and walking.
