  • Write press releases, byline opportunities, and award submissions in support of corporate initiatives and our subject matter expert program.

  • Develop clear, differentiated messaging and narrative frameworks for key company initiatives, partnering across teams to ensure consistency across external channels.

  • Shape and drive Lyra’s subject matter expert (SME) program and work alongside our executive communications leader to support our thought leadership campaigns.

  • Lead our monitoring and reporting process, leveraging AI and third-party platforms to assemble campaign recaps and contribute to our team’s quarterly and annual reports.

  • Support spokespeople readiness by developing briefing materials, messaging, and media prep for executives and subject matter experts.

  • Proactively identify reputational risks in media coverage related to mental health and develop responsible, mission-aligned responses in collaboration with leadership and clinical experts.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with PR agency and/or in-house communications roles (healthcare experience a plus)

  • Excellent writer who can turn complex clinical concepts into language anyone can understand.

  • Experience preparing and coaching spokespeople at all levels.

  • Adept at balancing long-term brand building with the daily demands of a fast-paced communications team.

  • Proven ability to work effectively across functions – marketing, product, customer advocacy, clinical, legal – to align messaging and move quickly.

  • A results-driven communicator who asks good questions, finds answers, and builds trust through honest communication and authentic storytelling

  • Familiarity with MuckRack, Cision, BusinessWire, utilization of AI for market intelligence.
