Conveyor Systems Field Service Technician

Regions: West Coast, East Coast, Southwest, Southeast (travel across North America and Mexico)

A day in the field

You start your week at a system integrator’s site on the West Coast, uncrating a conveyor module and bringing it online. By mid-week you’re in the Southeast diagnosing an electrical fault, walking the customer through your findings, and by Friday you’re training an end-user’s maintenance crew in Mexico on proper chain replacement. Throughout, you coordinate with service schedulers, submit clear visit notes, and secure customer sign-offs before you head to the next assignment.

What you’ll do

• Travel to customer locations to install, commission, and troubleshoot equipment
• Respond to service requests with both reactive fixes and proactive maintenance
• Deliver technical training to client teams at their sites
• Capture documentation for installations and repairs and obtain customer approval
• Advise on spare parts and perform basic inventory checks
• Inspect and oversee delivered products to ensure proper setup and safety

Our customers include System Integrators and End-Users across North America and Mexico. The role requires frequent travel and periodic on‑call/standby availability outside standard office hours.

The team behind you

Join a truly global Customer Service organization spanning AMCAS, EMEA, and APAC. In the AMCAS region, you report to the Customer Support Manager. At times you’ll work solo; other times you’ll partner with fellow field techs. As the team in the field—our “eyes and ears”—you help strengthen customer relationships, uphold performance and site safety, and relay insights that drive product improvements.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years in a similar field service role; or 1 year in a manufacturing role with AmbaFlex may be considered in lieu of 2 years’ direct experience
• Mechanical skills strongly preferred
