Accounts Payable / Accounting Clerk

The Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk records payments to vendor accounts and maintains accounts payable records. The APR Clerk position is responsible for maintaining accounts payable records, reconciling statements, issuing payment to venders, and monitoring AP actions.

• ACCOUNTS PAYABLES EXPERIENCE
• EXCEL EXPERIENCE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and approvals
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and vendor files
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, billing issues, and account inquiries
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to processing.
• Respond to vendor inquiries.
• Post invoices and payments into the dealership accounting system
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies and accounting procedures
• Monitor expense accounts and report inconsistencies or unusual charges
• Support the accounting office with administrative duties as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information
• Work collaboratively with department managers, parts, and service departments to ensure accurate invoice processing
• File and organize accounting documents electronically and physically
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller or Office Manager
• Support month-end close with review of general ledger accounts for missing or incorrect information and completion of accurate monthly financial statements.
• Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
• Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive group brand.
• Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) required
• DMS knowledge (CDK/ADP) preferred
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment
• Operate 10-key calculator
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening
• Authorization to work in the USA
